Bitget has recently announced the launch of Reality, which is a licensed financial platform designed to tokenize real-world assets (RWAs). According to the announcement, Reality’s vision is to use tokenization to help eligible global users gain exposure to traditional financial assets, but within crypto-native frameworks. Bringing Tokenized US Stocks and ETFs to Bitget With the introduction of Reality, Bitget brings tokenized US stocks and ETFs into its broader trading ecosystem. Exposure to the traditional market assets is limited by barriers like market hours, geography, and fragmented platforms. With Reality, however, Bitget’s vision is to give users access to these assets without these bottlenecks. More About Reality Reality issues rTokens, which are on-chain representations of publicly traded equities and ETFs. Each rToken is 1:1 backed by real shares held with a FINRA-registered, SIPC-protected U.S. Broker-dealer. The platform will enforce transparency, and will involve third party auditors to deliver a proof of asset dashboard and CPA level audit reports. The announcement states that the protocol supports deep liquidity thanks to being directly bridged into US liquidity pools. Reality also supports institutional-scale entries and exits optimized for slippage. Reality is also said to match the efficiency of traditional order books. It has put a 1:1 deterministic mapping engine in place that matches corporate actions such as cash distributions and stock splits. The new ecosystem will be natively integrated into the Bitget exchange. When it comes to key use cases, the announcement revealed the following about what Reality will offer: Users will be able to leverage tokenized equities as unified account margins. The new platform will be fully compatible with algorithmic Grid and Copy Trading systems; The assets hosted will be deployable across Bitget’s native staking and lending products. Reality is Built Around Bitget’s 10% Vision: Bitget CEO Talking about what Reality accomplishes, Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget said that Reality matches Bitget’s 10% vision. She talked about the drivers pushing RWA from being just an economic experiment to a market infrastructure. These include stablecoins, faster blockchain settlements, and interest from major exchanges. “Reality is Bitget’s step toward making that future accessible to global users,” Gracy Chen added. The CEO’s 10% vision is in response to the current reality of the financial ecosystem. Tokenization isn’t common yet. Money market funds and private credit account for only up to 1% of the total markets. Tokenized equities only represent 0.1% of the $125 trillion global equity market. It is Bitget’s CEO’s goal that by 2030, 10% of financial assets should exist in tokenized forms. Tokenized Equities Gaining Momentum Across Global Markets Tokenized equities are becoming more sought-after assets in the global market. According to reports, tokenized equities hit $963 million in market value as of January 2026, representing a YoY increase of over 2,000%. Investors are seeking digital frameworks that could make settling traditional assets faster, and accessible throughout the day. According to Bitget, Reality is a Bitget-launched product designed to meet that demand. The announcement clarified that the platform’s initial focus will be on tokenization of US stocks and ETFs. Who can access the product, which products can be tokenized, and what trading features can be implemented will depend on applicable laws. With the rollout of Reality, Bitget’s position in the RWA sector has gotten stronger. Its vision to bring traditional assets inside a unified digitized framework is gaining momentum. What remains to be seen is how soon Bitget’s UEX (Universal Exchange) strategy starts demonstrating results.
