Power in the iX3 40 comes from a 235kW/500Nm electric motor driving the rear axle exclusively, fed by an 82.6kWh (usable) lithium-ion battery. BMW claims a driving range of up to 635km on the WLTP test cycle, and a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 5.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 200km/h. The iX3 40 offers DC fast-charging at up to 300kW, at which it's capable of accepting a 10-80 per cent charge in just 21 minutes. The Bavarian marque says that at the top charging speed, up to 300km of range can be added in just 10 minutes. AC charging is capped at 11kW as standard, with an optional 22kW on-board charger allowing a full charge in approximately four hours 15 minutes.
