Elon Musk's Tesla has been making Optimus robots for a very long time. And the excitement around the same is almost uncontainable amongst the enthusiasts. Now, it is almost confirmed that the humanoid robots will be reaching the Indian market at the right time as well. A senior company official from Tesla said that the Optimus robot will be reaching the Indian market at the right time.
Tesla Chief for the Asia Pacific region, Isabel Fan, said in a media interaction in Mumbai that India is one of the important markets for the company as per their long-term vision. Furthermore, she also said that the robot will be making an entry in India at the right time. She also said that Tesla is preparing to begin large-scale production of the humanoid robot in the United States later this year. She expressed confidence in the skyrocketing relevance of robotics in everyday life, suggesting ‘Humanoid robots will be a big part of our life in the future.'
Tesla sees Optimus as a versatile solution capable of performing a wide range of tasks. Things like handling hazardous operations or even handling a household can be easily managed by the Tesla robot. She also said that the robot will play a major role in healthcare support in homes and serve as a multi-functional companion for the consumers.
Fan said, 'I have a commitment when it (time) comes right on the things (as) you have seen (in) other markets, we want to bring to India. That's the goal.'
And that's not it, as Tesla is also working on opportunities to bring energy-related solutions to India. Isabel Fan said that this segment is going to be the key pillar of Tesla's global expansion program. It is pretty clear with these steps that Elon Musk is not taking India for granted as a country, as Starlink satellite internet is also on the way.
