Livingston, who comes from Visa where he served as CFO for North America, will succeed Guilherme Lago. Lago will transition to a special advisor role as Nubank prepares to enter the U.S. market next year. The company stated that the switch in leadership is set for July 13. Lago, who has been with Nubank since 2021, decided to step down to pursue new professional opportunities and prioritize personal time. As an advisor, Lago will continue to contribute to the company by supporting ongoing and new initiatives. Nubank's CEO David Velez noted that the company's immediate strategy will maintain its focus on current key markets, including Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. He also emphasized a long-term vision of expanding the digital banking model globally to reach 90% of the world's population, highlighting an international approach.
