Walmart is ramping up its quick delivery service.
In a statement, the nation’s largest retailer said 30-minute or less delivery is now available across 33 U.S. markets, expanding the service to more than 19,000 ZIP codes nationwide.
Walmart hasn’t released a list of the markets but indicated it includes places like Atlanta, Austin, Texas, Chicago, Denver, Houston, St. Louis and Tampa, Florida, among others.
Customers can see whether they are included in a 30-minute-or-less delivery zone when they check out online. They will see a “delivery in 30 minutes or less” prompt at the checkout state.
More than 100,000 items, including fresh groceries, pantry staples, baby essentials, cold and flu medications, household supplies, pet food, electronics and prescriptions are eligible for delivery.
“Customers are looking for faster, easier ways to get what they need in the moments that matter,” said Tracy Poulliot, Chief eCommerce Officer, Walmart U.S. “As customers continue to look for more immediate shopping options, we’re making this service more prominent where it’s available — helping them get the items they need, right when they need them.”
Walmart has been delivering orders in 30 minutes or less for more than a year, with 26% of Express Deliveries already arriving in that timeframe, the company said.
The 30-minutes or less option is just one of several from Walmart. Others are:
Express – Delivery in one hour or less
On-Demand – Delivery in as soon as three hours
Scheduled – Customers choose a delivery window that works best with their schedule.
The 30-minute-or-less delivery service is available for a $10 fee for Walmart+ members.
