Minisforum unveils new NAS & Mini PCs based on AMD Strix Halo, Intel Panther Lake, & Intel Wildcat Lake chips. Minisforum's Flagship "N5 MAX" NAS Features AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 & Entry-Tier "All-Flash S5" Gets Intel Core Series 3 The flagship solution from Minisforum this year is the N5 Max, which is based on the AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395. This features up to 64 GB of unified LPDDR5X-8533 memory, a 5-Bay HDD & 5-Bay SSD configuration which supports up to 200 TB of storage capacity, strong networking in the form of two 10GbE LAN ports, and USB4v2 (80 Gbps) connectivity. The AI Agent NAS is designed to locally deploy AI models, Semantic Search, and also supports AI Album with Smart Tags, Smart Indexing, & Smart Search. The five HDD bays support up to 32 TB capacities each for a total of 160 TB in 3.5" or 2.5" configs. On the SSD front, you get three Gen4x1 slots for up to 8 TB each in 2280 form factors. There's also one 2230 and 2280 slot with Gen4x1 support, and a single Gen4x4 slot. Outputs include a single HDMI, a single USB4, & two USB4v2 ports. The NAS features a maximum power of 250W, and measures 199x202.4x252.3mm. Intel Wildcat Lake NAS Comes in a Fanless Design The manufacturer is also showcasing its All-Flash S5 NAS, which features Intel Core Series 3 processors with up to 6 cores, 6 threads, 6 MB cache, and up to 4.4 GHz clocks. The system features five M.2 Gen4x1 slots, supporting up to 40 TB capacities. There is also Wi-Fi 7 support, which can be added through the M.2 2230 (CNVio3) slot. IO includes 10GbE + 2.5GbE LAN, dual USB4 Type-C ports, dual USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, and an HDMI 2.1 port. This NAS has a maximum power of 120W through the DC adapter & up to 65W through the Type-C port. The whole thing is fanless and features an all-aluminum chassis, which acts as the primary heatsink. Intel Core Ultra Series 3 & Core Series 3 Mini PCs The Minisforum M2 Pro features Intel's Panther Lake SoCs with up to Core Ultra X9 388H configurations, supports LPDDR5X-8533 memory up to 32 GB, has triple M.2 slots, and features a nice array of IO ports. The Mini PC is rated at up to 135W. Then we have the more mainstream M2 Mini PC, which comes in a single Intel Core Ultra 7 356H config. This is still a Panther Lake design with 16 cores but with a 4Xe3 iGPU. It carries dual DDR5 SO-DIMM slots, dual M.2 slots, and dual 2.5GbE LAN ports. It also supports Wi-Fi 7 and USB4 Type-C ports. The Mini PC is rated at up to 120W. And on the very last, we have the Minisforum M2 Air-304, which is based on Intel's Wildcat Lake SoCs. This Mini PC offers a single DDR5 SODIMM slot, supporting up to 6400 MT/s speeds, a single M.2 slot, Wi-Fi 6, dual 2.5GbE LAN ports, and three USB ports, including a USB4 Type-C connector. The Mini PC comes in a 65W power configuration.
